Project: Thirsk Racecourse

The Chestnut Room is a new development for Owners and Trainers that also doubles up as a conference facility on non-racedays.

The new building sits in the heart of the racecourse with spectacular viewing of the racetrack, parade ring and pre-parade ring.

The open expanse of glazing on three sides gives the building user a feeling of being part of the racing activities within the comfort of the facility. A large roof terrace with a covered area provides viewing of the whole of the track and the finishing line.

The development was completed in September 2018 and was short listed for two RICS awards and a LABC award.
